Police Line Do Not Cross

A 65-year-old man was shot and killed by a 13-year-old boy in an attempted carjacking on the city’s North Side in another example of teen violence that is plaguing Bexar County and San Antonio. Police said the young teenager admitted to shooting the man while trying to steal the man’s vehicle in a parking lot. https://www.ksat.com/news/local/2024/04/06/watch-live-at-430pm-san-antonio-police-to-provide-details-on-north-side-shooting/

The city of San Antonio held a special “summit” on teen violence, and only liberal solutions, such as more programs paid by taxpayers and operated by nonprofits, were discussed. However, if there are no severe consequences to crime, teenagers will not be respectful of the law or police.

Furthermore, the juvenile delinquency starts at home. But the liberals in the city refuse to admit that and prefer to feed the poverty industry with taxpayer money and create more public programs.

Social justice advocates, like the Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales, refuse to consider punishing teens for the most violent crimes. In the meantime, teens are learning from adult repeat offenders not to fear the law.

Bexar County and San Antonio need a pro-law enforcement D.A. and a mayor who will let the police be proactive in preventing crime rather than reacting to crime and violence.
