Today, on Monday, Aug. 31, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Sean P. Duffy, joined by federal officials and Angel Families, announced a historic interagency effort to crack down on fraud in the trucking industry.
The coalition announced the Joint Task Force Crossroads of America – a multi-state partnership to secure our highways and strengthen border security. Partnering across federal, state, and local agencies, the Task Force will target criminal networks and fraud to reduce highway fatalities and protect Americans.
For example, Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael E. Pahira Jr., 44, was killed last year by Michael Bon, a Haitian illegal alien trucker with a Massachusetts drivers license.
Also, last year, an illegal alien from India, Harjinder Singh, made an illegal U-turn on Florida's Turnpike, and killed three people.
Most illegal aliens come from 3rd world nations where driving rules and laws are not enforced. Drivers' licenses are easy to obtain, and vehicle insurance is not needed. Many of these illegal aliens cannot read English, nor do they know (or feel the need) to obey American traffic laws.

Uneducated, illiterate, illegal aliens who cannot read English should not be in country, let alone driving.
A multi-agency operation in Arizona arrested 95 illegal alien truck drivers earlier this month, striking at the heart of human and drug smuggling operations at the U.S. southern border.
All 95 drivers had acquired state-issued commercial driver's licenses from sanctuary states like California and New York.
The apprehensions also show that not only are these illegal alien drivers endangering the public on the streets and roads, but they are also involved in human trafficking and drug smuggling operations.
Between Aug. 10 and Aug. 14, two large human-smuggling arrests resulted in the arrest of four smugglers and 17 smuggled aliens. Additionally, 74 pounds of methamphetamine and 169 pounds of marijuana were seized. In total, authorities arrested 143 suspects from 18 countries.
To prevent schemes like these, the Department of Transportation (DOT) is finalizing a rule to prevent unqualified drivers from obtaining CDLs.

The citizens and taxpayers in San Antonio should be aware that the news media never reports whether any street accidents were caused by an illegal alien.
A quick review of accidents between Aug. 10 and Aug. 31 shows 11 major street accidents were reported by the local news media. These included 17 people injured and 1 killed.
Illegal alien drivers are plentiful in communities like San Antonio which has a large Hispanic/Latino population. Besides endangering citizens on the road, their uninsured presence also drives insurance premiums higher for law abiding drivers.
While socialist Democrat Congressman Joaquin Castro is busy demanding the release of illegal aliens from ICE detention, citizens in San Antonio and the rest of country are in danger from illegal alien drivers.
Driving a vehicle on American streets and roads is a privilege that requires the responsibility of knowing and obeying the rules and laws of the road.
Illegal aliens should NOT have that privilege.
