This past week, June 11-17, 2024, there were nine violent incidents reported in San Antonio, according to the local news media. The violence included four shootings and three stabbings that resulted in 9 injuries (including two police officers) and one death.

The Bexar County District Attorney continues to practice soft-on-crime “social justice,” while the City government has policies that impede the police from doing their work. How safe do you feel?

Tuesday, June 11- One man was wounded after a shooting early on Tuesday morning at a Northwest Side apartment on the 7200 block of Snowden Road near the Medical Center area. The 39-year-old man was wounded with gunshots to his stomach, leg, and arm.

Tuesday, June 11 – A 38-year-old man was stabbed, and another was arrested following a fight on the city’s West Side. The incident happened around 3:45 am at a duplex in the 2500 block of West Commerce Street, not far from Buena Vista Street and North Zarzamora Street.

Friday, June 14 – A 35-year-old Exxon employee was injured after confronting two thieves who tried to steal alcohol on the city’s Southwest side. The robbery happened Friday night around 11:46 pm at the Exxon gas Station on the 2600 block of S. Zarzamora Stre t. The suspects assaulted him and fled the scene in an unidentified white truck.

Friday, June 14 – A body was found at John James Park on the Northeast Side of the 3900 block of Rittiman Ro d. The body was in an advanced stage of decomposition and has not been identified.

Friday, June 11 – A 34-year-old man was stabbed and cut in an incident on the city’s East side that happened around 8:43 pm on Friday on the 2100 block of Hays St. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and said he was cut by an unknown man who fled the scene before police arrived.

Saturday, June 15 – A 22-year-old man was shot in the stomach Saturday night and a suspect. The shooting happened in the 1000 block of Flanders Avenue.

Saturday, June 15 – Two San Antonio police officers were dragged after a traffic stop as the suspect tried to flee the city’s Southeast side. The incident happened Saturday around 11:40 pm near Pecan Valley Drive and Sargent Stre t. Officers were conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle and detained a man and a woman for questioning. The uncooperative man broke free from the officers and jumped back into the driver’s seat. Officers attempted to stop him, but the suspect sped away in the vehicle, dragging both officers for about ten yards.

Sunday, June 16 – Two men were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning during a suspected human smuggling operation on the East Side near the 900 block of South Walters Street. A 24-year-old man had a minor gunshot wound, and a 17-year-old boy had a wound. Witnesses reported that unknown suspects drove up to the location, fired shots at the victim, and then fled the scene.

Monday, June 17 – An 18-year-old boy was hospitalized after being stabbed at a South Side apartment complex. The stabbing happened just after midnight Monday at the Esperanza at Palo Alto Apartments off Southwest Loop 410 near Palo Alto Road.
